Ram thought about telling them everything, all the reasons he'd sworn never to take a wife and perpetuate his line. But they wouldn't understand. Not the Sharmas, who only knew that family was good and kind and true. They didn't know anything about cruel words and shattered dreams. They didn't know the impossible feeling of rejection.
Ram then thought about saying something cruel, something that would make karthik despise him. But that would require him to malign Priya, and he just couldn't do that.
And so, in the end, all he did was look up into the face of Karthik , the man who was going to marry his sister , a principled and righteous man , "Just to let you know. Your sister is the finest woman I've ever had the privilege to know. I will be honoured to have her has my wife””
He stretched out his hand to Karthik, and Karthik took his hand.. Everybody clapped.
Then there was shout... but I don’t ... Said Priya and she ran out of the terrace.
For Minute everyone was stunned, except Ram. He knew . he knew she would reject him. Something always HIM told that, Priya would reject him .. There was nothing in him he liked, so he was not really surprised that she didn’t want to marry him. Nobody would.
