Recap :
Afterwards We lay together talking, my back against his chest, his hands playing lazily over me. A bond had been formed between us now. He kissed the top of my tousled head, saying as he did so. Then slept ..spent . I got up again . To see him looking at me with love. I pulled closer for a kiss.
Then again we sought love's perfection in each other's arms, our souls as well as our bodies blending until there was nothing for either of us ,but nothing other than our love in every minute
PART 14
PART A
The sun rose late this time of year, and when I opened my eyes and
checked the clock on the table beside the bed, it was half past Six. The room was
still quite dim, so I slipped out of bed, put on my night dress, and walked to the
window to open the curtains.
My room faced east, and so I took a moment at the window to enjoy the sunrise.
Most of the sky still held the purple tones of night, but along the horizon the sun
was painting a brilliant stripe of orange and pink. And yellow. Right there on the very bottom, yellow was beginning to creep into view.
The slanted light of dawn, I thought.
Behind me , I heard Ram rustling in the bed, and I turned around. He
appeared to be blinking himself awake.
“It’s morning,” I said, smiling.
He yawned. “Almost.”
“ not Almost Its morning ,” I said and turned back to the window.
I heard him yawn again, then make his way out of bed. He came up behind me,
wrapping his arms around me and letting his chin settle on the top of my head. “It’s
a beautiful sunrise,” he murmured.
“It’s already changed so much, just in the few moments I’ve been watching it.”
I felt him nod.
He turned me around.
He looked at me for several moments, as if he wasn’t quite sure what to say. “I love
you,” he finally said, and he kissed me back, softly, and filled with love, on my
lips.
“Let’s go outside,” he said suddenly.
“What?”
He let go of me and went back toward the bed, to the pile of his clothing, lying
rumpled on the floor. “Go on,” he said. “Get dressed. fast ”
I allowed myself a moment to admire his naked back, then managed to snap
myself to attention. “Why do you want to go outside?” I asked, but I was
already looking for something to wear.
“ I want to show you something .” He flashed at me a grin.
His enthusiasm was infectious, and I found myself practically racing to pull
on all of my clothing. Before I could throw my dupatha around my neck He grabbed my hand, and we took off running through the house, stifling laughter all the way. A
maids were up and about, cleaning the gardens and house .
but wejust scooted on by, tripping along until wereached thefront door and the fresh air of morning.
I took a deep breath. The air felt wonderful, crisp and clean, with just
enough cool moisture to make my feel dewy and new.
Where are we going I asked
“ Have patience” Ram he said. He leaned down and dropped a kiss on my ear. “I taking you to create more marvellous memories ,,,,,, like last night.”
My ’s cheeks turned hot, even though I rather thought I ought to be
beyond blushing by now.
But where.. I asked
He continued to pulled me along the farm and through the mango orchards
“I’ll going to show you something first and then teach you something ,” he said.
What I asked him
I am not going to have evil ways with you he winked
I swatted him on the shoulder.
“Really,” he went on, ““A man does like to feel that he is in charge,” he murmured.
I blushed .. now please tell me what is it
You know what you can be “Annoyingly……. He did complete.
I asked what Annoyingly ???
He kissed my nose. “Annoyingly adorable.”
He suddenly stopped . I looked up around … Then I saw !!!
It was small pond .. surrounded by beautiful foliage . The pond had flock of geese swimming in it
It was wonderful , I pushed away the ample fluffy branches that came my way, trying not to hurt any of the big flat leaves, or neat, perfect mango flowers that covered each branch. The shadows of the trees still preserved the moist humidity, intensified by the smell of wet moss and smell fresh morning dew.I loved this deep moist air, saturated with oxygen and filled with freshness.
As I was moving through the trees to reach the pond. I saw a flock plovers by the pond as if gossiping with their geese friends in the pond sharing . I didn’t want to disturb the serenity of the moment It was Uthopian to say the least. The vivid ruby and tangerine streaks that so often caressed the blue brow of the sky were sleeping, hidden behind the heavy mists. High up in the treetops, the leaves swayed, but on the ground, the grass was silent, limp and unmoving. The sun set and the earth waited. Then, slowly at first, but with ever increasing intensity, a small glimmer appeared on the glossy leaves. Through the whispering blades of grass, a brilliant fire arose from the depths turning the lingering water droplets into liquid silver that dripped from expectant leaves and flowed gurgling into shallow puddles, bathing the young trees with the succulent taste of a new day.
And the golden morning sun rose. Higher up into sky
I looked up to see Ram watching me closely smiling at me.
I turned to him, He opened his arms . Went into it was most naturally thing to do for me . I was at peace… there was nothing more beautiful than the this moment of time. In this man arms I was home I was safe
We sat down by the side of pond watching the plovers and geese interact. Slowly as sun rose birds flew away ….. geese reached the far end of the pond looking for the shade escaping the harshness of the sun rays….
The pond was almost the a size of a small lake …. The geese were now far way otherside of pond. The plover no longer in sight
It was over… I thought I looked at Ram asked shall we go.. He said wait, I told I wanted to teach you something what I asked ….
He got up and pulled me up the and said I am going to teach how to skip a stone what ? I asked what skip.
Stone he said started walking towards the bending down started looking for something with great concentration. Picked a stone looked at from all sides and weighed it , then put it in his pocket. Then continued the same with more stones. Slowly there was big bulge in his pocket.
Then he came , with big naughty smile crinkling the corners of his mouth. Took hold of my hand pulled me along, To the shore the pond, so yanked her hand. I asked what is this now…. He chuckled and ambled over to my side. Do you know Skipping of stone. I replied yes of course I know that ( I have seen it in enough movie’s to know what he was talking about … it sure looked easy after all it was just throwing a stone across the water how hard can it be) He continued “First you must find the right sort ofrock.”
“I know that,” I said promptly.
“It must be flat, not too heavy—”
“I know that, too.”
“I am beginning to understand how irritating it is going to be to teach you.”
I gave him a dirty look.
He only laughed. “Here,” he said, reaching down to pick up a small stone. “This
one is good. You need to hold it like this.” He demonstrated, then put it in my
palm, curving my fingers around it. “Your wrist should be bent just so, and…”
I looked up. “And what?” His words had trailed off, and he was gazing out over
the pond.
“Nothing,” he said with a little shake of his head. “Just the way the sun is hitting
the water.”
I turned to the pond, and then turned back to him. The reflection of the sun
on the water was beautiful, but I found I preferred watching him. He was
looking at the pond so intently, so thoughtfully, as if he were memorizing every last
ripple of light. I knew he had a reputation for careless charm. Everyone said he
was so funny, so droll, but now, when he was so pensive… I fell in love with him all over again , I don’t know if there ever was a day I was not in love with him .
Ram I called he shook his head. Then said this was my favourite pastime when we went to our village near Amritsar. Papa taught me, I was just think about papa how happy he would have been to meet you . When Venu anna told me about this pond here I wanted bring you.
I was happy .. that Ram wanted to share his important childhood memories with me. He hasnever talked about his papa much. But I knew , for my Conversations with neha … Ram adored his father lot. For him his papa was his hero. I came close to him and laid my head against his shoulder and hugged his arm. Ram said Iam sure he looking down at me saying Well done beta. He smiled at me . His happiness was evident He kissed softly on my nose
Ram then immediately picked up a stone and sent it skipping across the lake.. It bounced across the water sailed to the other end of the pond
“How did you do that?” l demanded.
Try he stretched across a stone for me
l picked up a stone and tried to skip it. It sank instantly.
Rather like a stone.
Ram gave me a lofty grin, picked up another stone, and let it fly.
“One…two…three…four…five!”she crowed, counting the skips. “My record is
six.”
“Six?” l asked, feeling very outdone. “Really?”
Ram shrugged, looking for another stone. “My name Kapoor … Ram Kapoor yeh to mera daiyan hath ka khel hai He found a nice flat rock and picked it up.
“I’ve had a great deal of time to practice.”
“Before I could say Show me how you—”
Ram had already sent it flying across the water. “One…two…three…four.”
he let out an irritated snort. “I knew that rock was too heavy.”
I watched in disbelief as he skipped three more stones across the
lake, each of them bouncing five times. “I do believe I am jealous,”I finally
announced.
“Of me?” he asked
“You don’t even look like man who would touch a stone on the ground, much less skip itacross the lake.”
“Now, now, Priya ,” Ram, smiling all the while. “Let’s not be mean.”
I feigned a scowl. I can do it you saw
“So you can,” I said, duly impressed. “Will you show me how to do it?”
“No” Ram gave me an arch look. “I like having something I’m so much better at
than you.”
But you promised I said .
Yeah Did!!but decided I wont . After the first attempt of yours I don’t think you can .also
I stuck out my tongue. “You say you can do six.”
“I can,” Ram insisted.
“I haven’t seen it.” I said walked over to a large rock and patted the top, making sure it was dry before I sat down. “I have all morning. And afternoon, too, now
that I think on it.”
You know what !, you have to give me whatever I ask if I the stone skip 6 times
We will see …. I said
Ram then growled, then stomped off to find more stones. he did a five,
then a four, then two more fives.
“I’m waiting!” I called.
“I’m running out of good stones!”
“A likely excuse.” I looked down at my fingernails to see if I’d got any
dirt under them when he’d picked up his one pathetic stone. When I looked
back up, a stone was sailing across the surface.
One…two…three…four…five…six!
“You did it!”I exclaimed, jumping to my feet. “Six!”
“Lady ,” Ram said, bowing elegantly. He looked impossibly handsome in the
mid-morning sunshine.
Now for my prize He looked at me
I gazed at his handsome face, his eyes glittering with merriment, and my heart literally skipped a beat.
“Are you going to kiss me?” I was breathless with anticipation.
“Most definitely, madamji.”
“I really wish you wouldn’t.”
“Now that, my dear, has to be the biggest lie you’ve ever told.”
He narrowed the distance between us, initiating a torrid kiss that was rough and wild and thrilling.
…….. and that is how my day started.. A morning so beautiful it was so special. The morning when the sun was brighter , birds chirped happily, trees swayed in harmony. Amorning I never will ever forget. I know this was how ,Ram will make my every morning PERFECT
We spent the next two day like this…. Walking talking, playing, eating when we wanted to and making love sometime with need so sweet sometimes it about tears to my eyes. It was a perfect every possible way .. I know my past nightmare will catch up with me… but I also knew Ram will be there for me to hold , to support me , to be my strength , to love me.
These two days I realised the something about love and friendship and RAM
LOVE : Is laughing with him when the sun goesdown, then lying inhis arms till it come up again. To have someone to say you are beautiful the way you are, it is being scared and excited at same time
Friendship : Is the known someone will always be there for you when the going gets tough. It isn’t about whom you long but who came and never left yourside.
When these two combine
Happiness is formed
And I was happy !!!!
PART B :
RAJATH KAPUR
PANVEL, MUMBAI
The man was driving down in his new premium whiteAmbassador. He was Ashok Kapoor. He entered his mansion .It was a built by his father in law, on the land given to him by Britishers for Dam he helped in building the Gadeshwar Dam .It was huge …building remisecent of English era of Palladian country home .It was classical in style, with a large central portico and strong vertical lines on the exterior. It was in the interior that these country houses really shone, however. Furnishings were ornate and designed to impress. Generally, a large entry hall led on to living rooms meant for show. Bedrooms and dressing rooms were upstairs, while the kitchen and the servants quarters were relegated to the basement. It was terribly inconvenient, but it was magnificent! Only remaining Palladian country home in India
Ashok Kapoor came here as 21 year old worker in this construction company from village bordering Punjab and Pakistan, his ancestors were part of the Royal family Bhera Sargoda now in Pakistan . After Partition like many other families his family was also a refugee like others. He parents died when was 19. He Worked himself to the position of Head of construction through sheer hard work . He worked with Mr Patel the man whoowned the companyabsorbed and learnt everything from him .He in turn treated him with respect and trusted him. The relationship went beyond an employee and employer. Mr Patel was like a father he never had. One day when he called Ashok to office begged him to marry is daughter Sheela. Ashok didn’t think twice before telling him yes or he thought of asking him why. He had no plans of marrying anybody. So infact felt honoured to marry the daughter of his Idol. But one thing he knew there was reason behind why he was chosen .
The marriage happened… He went for the honeymoon. He fell in love with his wife… she behaved like petulant child always demanding. And since he loved her he gave into her every demand. Indulging her in every possible way . Ashok by now taken over reigns Patil Constructions. Sheela had been spoilt by riches and luxury.
And Ashok encouraged her to live a life of her choice. 6 months of married life idyllically passed out . Slowly Sheela behaviour seemed to change.. she was never there at home there was alwaysat a party or event to attend . When she was there she was either inebriated stage or sleeping.
Ashok tried to stop her from drinking it did not work. One fine day Sheela became pregnant. He was ecstatic….Patil ji had passed away leaving him sole in charge of the business. He thought this was best time to put a stop to her drinking habits . He changed is working pattern tried to stay with Sheela 24/7 taking care of her For next 9 months he became Sheela’s shadow . The Child was born and was named RAJATH
Ashok… was ecstatic.. He felt he had got is family back. Sheela had also stopped drinking . So he was even more happy.
Ashok started travelling for business once again thinking his life has started . He wanted to establish an empire for his son . He started working day and night. Sheela behaved normal.. he never had chance to suspect anything was wrong with her or his family.
Naina was compulsive drinker and a drugaddict…had twisted sense of self image and indulged in rampant Sexual anamolies and perversion. The child Rajath was brought up witnessing these perverse action.
Whenever Ashok was there ,,, Sheela behaved as normal as can be.Acted as good mother in front of Ashok. Ashok never suspected is wife behaviour nor he knew how Rajath was treated. Whenever he smelt something was not right , Sheela’s childish behaviour covered up her grave sins. Servants where sent away by Sheela whenever she indulged in these activities or she took Rajath along with her wherever she went. Servants knew something was wrong but no one knew the extent of damage Sheela was causing in young Rajath mind
Rajath … as like all children adapted and adopted the environment he was growing in. Never knowing what normal upbringing was. He witnessed things that no normal children should ever witness. His school behaviour or absenteeism never reached Ashok’s ear. Everybody feared Sheela and her temperament nobodydared to question her. And Ashok so in love with his wife over looked those small small indicators as mistakes.
Ashok whenever he had time for son met him and indulged his every wish and fancy. Rajath was astute and Intelligent enough to realise how to behave whenin front of his father. And he did it with perfection. Ashok delighted with his son’s progress never even thought to cross check facts.
Rajath as he grewup slowly started reaching beyond limit conceived even by his mother. By the age of 15th He had become an expert sexual transgression that went beyond abnormal human tendency. The first killing started with harmless dog which Ashok had given has a gift to Rajath on his 1Oth birthday . He killed the dog , when he took the life of the dog it gave him a high sense of power he got when he saw the animal dying made him feel like god … and pleasure he got from it was so thrilling… He never liked sex… he indulged it to please his mother… if he did not his mother became shrew and would beat him with every possible thing she could lay her hands on…. But he loved his mother when she was not in her high she treated him like prince but … that did stay long for the moment she indulged in drugs she was different…. When he realised his mother liked hitting him…. This was how she was showing her love. He too slowly started enjoying .. He wanted to please his mother. Slowly , he understood the real power lies in pain.. one who gives pain has the power. He liked the victims begging him and crying.More they begged, more he enjoyed killing them. His victims were usually women whoturned him down and who were strong. He enjoyed turning these women meek by hurting giving them pain. The pleasure he got from it surpassed any excitement.
Rajath tortured his women for days before he killed them by the time he killed them they were half dead or…. When he killed them buried them in the walls of his bungalow hung paintings to mark each girl he killed.
Ashok came to know of his wife betrayal and his sons crookedness by chance… when he accidently walked into their RAAVE party…..
The moment saw them it broke his heart… he had come home to tell that he had fixed Rajath ‘ marriage. He was furious… The Party hurriedly broke up .Sheela and Ashok fought for the first time and last . The Sheela in her inebriated state and anger spilled the truth. She wanted to hurt Ashok. In that one truth, was that one which broke Ashok. The truth was that Rajath was not his son but he was the son of the bodyguard who had been appointed to by Patelji to protect her. It was this man who introduced her to orgies of sex supplied her drugs and alcohol . What he saw , what he heard ,broke is heart and his will. His dream shattered. He broke down…then … and never got up. He had paralytic stroke. Only his brain functioned.
Rajath saw the truth…unfolding he was not surprised. He never knew his father nor had any respect or love for him. He behaved because he knew his father was person who gave the money and power . Because for his passion money and power was most important to protect him . When father fell sick… it became very convenient for him to takeover.. and explore his passion in depth.
Rajath married Naina Dinanath Singh …. as his father had arranged ,because sheela wanted to him to marry for sake of appearance. He treated her well.. but Naina knew all was not well with RAjath . She had seen the glimpses of madness but she had nothing by which anything. Nobody will believe her when she said that there was something about Rajath which was wrong.
There was no warmth in their relationship or he was indifferent to her. He visited her in the night till he came to know she was pregnant.
Sheela died all of the sudden one day. Nobody new how or when. Doctor said she died due to heart attack. But Naina never saw her after the wedding day . She was never allowed to enter the other side of the house. There was days she heard voices but she never knew what it was. Rajath started leaving the farm house of her father which was some distance way. She heard him come now and then. But he never came and saw her. At night she heard someone breaking the walls of the house . When she tried to find out she was summarily asked to mind her own business.
She wanted to leave the house and rajath. But one soul ‘s eye which kept pleading with her . Her father in law Ashok Kapoor . There was something in his eyes which made her stay back at this house. When Nikhil was born. Naina was happy she held something which filled her with warmth and one person she knew who would love her back unconditionally.
She knew her father would never welcome back to his house. His politically image was important he will neverallow her to move back . Nikhil birth bought a light into her father in law soulless eyes. She took him daily twice to meet his grandfather. To bring the men some sense of happiness in his dying days
Rajath was indifferent to his son. He never even acknowledged him.
As far she knew the only person who knew Rajath was his bodyguard Kali.
Kali followed him like a shadow , where ever he Rajath went. No one knew who Kali .. but there was something evil about him.
But off late Rajath was restless… from the day Ramkapoor came home looking for Rajath was different .. police and case priya these words were not spoken but TV news were filled with it . When she asked Rajath was so furious she left the room. Scared to even look at him.
For Rajath .. Naina was another piece of furniture he bought . He was not bothered for him more than Naina ‘s father political connection mattered. That was most important to him.. he saw to it he behaved properly in front of Naina. Otherwise he was not bothered about Naina. Dinanath Singh was man of old school of thought who believed the daughter should only be seen never be heard. For him Rajath ‘s money was a must to back his political aspirations.
This business deal worked out fine for both them.
The first crinkle in this relationship was PRIYA ….. the only women who escaped Rajath.
The case was now proving to be thorn in Rajath side ..raising questions.. which made Rajath for the first time feel something was not going right. Kali was in jail for him … but that Ram’s team were digging things which was not good
He needed it to end … here and now. Before the case went to the court.
